My application for Who’s Who in Gold and Silver has been accepted! My work will feature on the Goldsmiths’ Company website in time for the Goldsmiths’ Fair 2013. Comments made by the panel were;
‘encouraged by the contemporary aesthetic of your designs and felt that the work was well made’ and
‘positive about the unpolished, matte finish and praised your work’s originality’.
Feedback stated that ‘some members of the panel expressed an excitement at the potential of the work to be developed into gold’.
This is fantastic news!

My “Lovers’ Stone” cocktail ring was selected for the “Rocks” exhibition taking place in Goldsmiths’ Centre London. The free exhibition runs from 21 May to 4 July, and is open Monday – Friday 09:00 – 17:00.
From 21 May Goldsmiths’ Centre is taking part in Chelsea Fringe – a festival celebrating and encouraging people to engage with their landscape, gardening and the natural world. As part of the Fringe, the centre will be creating a rock garden (sponsored by Indoor Garden Design) in the atrium, which will be surrounded by work from jewellers and goldsmiths whose inspiration comes from geological formations, one of which will be my cocktail ring! So go and have a look!
On Saturday 9th March 10am – 5pm I will be exhibiting at Waterhall Gallery (BM&AG) under my new brand SINTAMANI. As this will be my first outing under the new label I will be offering a 5% discount to all new customers. Please save or print the bar code below and bring it with you to the exhibition. The exhibition will showcase various jewellery designer/makers.
On Saturday 9th March, Mothers’ Day weekend, I will be showcasing my jewellery collections at The Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery. The selling exhibition will be held in the prestigious Waterhall gallery, in the heart of Birmingham city centre. This is the first exhibition presented by The Guild of Jewellery Designers and for exhibitors to showcase their jewellery designs. The show is open to the public from 10:00am – 5:00pm. So if you’re looking for a unique piece of jewellery for your mother, or even yourself, why not come and support local designer/makers.
Finally the day has come to reveal my new brand name! I wanted a name that reflects my inspiration and design ethos. After researching, I’ve chosen a word derived from Sanskrit, the classical language of India.
A magical jewel which fulfils one’s desires”
The new website is coming soon!
Finally the ‘Zari’ collection, designed in 2011 has been perfected and is soon to be underway in 2013! The repetitive pattern was inspired by zari, the brocades seen in Indian wedding saris. Zari is a thread traditionally made of fine gold or silver and is used in Indian, Pakistani and Persian garments. The thread is woven into fabrics, made of silk to create intricate patterns. A splash of colour will be added to the collection to reflect the bright colours of the saris. Once the first pieces ahve been crafted images will be up on the website!
